Thanks to its high-precision sensitive probe and powerful chip, measurements are extremely sensitive and accurate. Reading the results is incredibly simple: light-emitting diodes (LEDs) indicate the polarity with distinct colors. The red light indicates the North (N) pole, and the green light indicates the South (S) pole.

The pen is powered by two AAA 1.5V batteries (not included), providing approximately ten hours of use or more.
