Reassemble the parts. To replace the drill bit, simply remove the defective one and insert the replacement. Excessive speed can cause the drill bit to become miscentered, break, or jam. Adjust the drilling speed according to the wood hardness. Use the smallest pilot drill bit for soft wood. For hard wood, choose a correspondingly larger or larger drill bit. If the pilot drill bit cannot be removed after drilling, loosen it with the included Allen wrench.
