When you maintain, and more specifically when you water your garden, you probably don’t realize how many different parts and accessories there are. Various watering connectors are a perfect example. There are numerous types, each with a different purpose. Here, we will talk about the repair connector. This connector is designed to repair a punctured hose or connect two hoses to each other.
A brief explanation on how to use this connector. Firstly, if you have two hoses that you want to connect to make a longer one, it’s very simple: you attach the nozzle to one hose end, then attach the other side of the nozzle to the other hose end. There you go, your two hoses are connected and now form one long hose.
Secondly: in case your hose is punctured. Again, it’s very easy: cut the hose at the hole to remove the damaged part. Now, you proceed as if you were connecting two hoses together, using the two cut parts.
As for choosing between different references, one determining factor you need to consider is the hose diameter on which the connector will be attached. Indeed, a garden hose generally has a diameter of 12, 15, 19, or 25 millimeters. Therefore, you will need to purchase a compatible nozzle.
Next, only the material will determine which product you will buy. Plastic is quite sturdy but is especially appreciated for its rust and freeze resistance. On the other hand, metal connectors are very solid and more aesthetically pleasing. Lastly, brass and rubber connectors are extremely durable, providing a pleasant coating and a very nice look.
