Make your choice from our range of metal drill bits! Our collection includes all the major brands: Diager, Dewalt, Riss... Metal drill bits attach to the chuck of your portable drill in order to drill steel, stainless steel, aluminum, or cast iron.
HSS (high-speed steel) drill bits withstand temperatures up to 600°C. Therefore, they have high drilling capacity and are wear-resistant. They are perfect for working with common metals like stainless steel, aluminum, and cast iron.
As for titanium and cobalt metal drill bits, they do not fear extreme temperatures (1000°C). They are very durable, and their performance is better than those made from HSS. They can drill hard, treated steels and, of course, common metals.
Of course, the deeper the holes you want to make, the longer the drill bit should be. Moreover, the length to be considered is the so-called "useful" length. This is the threaded portion of the drill bit.
Depending on the desired drilling diameter, you should choose a drill bit that is one millimeter smaller. This is recommended to insert a dowel, for example, as it will be well secured inside.
