It is powered by 3 AAA batteries (not included).

Operation

1. Installing Batteries: Insert 3 AAA batteries (not included) into the hygrometer.
2. Selecting the Measurement Mode: Choose the appropriate mode (softwood, hardwood, solid wood, bricks) depending on the material to be measured.
3. Measurement: Place the hygrometer sensor on the surface of the material to be measured. The water content will be displayed on the LCD screen.
4. Recording (optional): Use the "HOLD" function to save the current reading.
5. Interpreting results: The LEDs and alarm sound will indicate if the water content exceeds the preset threshold.
6. Automatic shut-off: The device will automatically shut off after 30 minutes of inactivity.

Instructions

• Batteries: Use good quality AAA batteries. Don't forget to insert them (not included in delivery).
• Measuring surface: Make sure the surface of the material (wood, concrete, bricks) is clean and flat for accurate measurement. The minimum detection area is 50*50 mm.
• Detection depth: The maximum detection depth is 19 mm. For deeper measurements, multiple measurements at different locations may be required.
• Mode selection: Choose the correct measurement mode (softwood, hardwood, solid body, bricks) to obtain accurate results corresponding to the type of material.
• Interpretation of alarms: The LEDs and alarm sound will tell you if the water content exceeds the predefined threshold.Use this to take preventative measures against mold.
• Storage: When the device is not in use, store it in a dry place at room temperature (between -10 and 50°C, humidity <85%RH).
