Description
[Electrical Box for Classic V-Twin Cruisers – Long-Distance Model Compatible] This stator (solenoid coil/alternator coil) conforms to original specifications and was specifically designed for the Yamaha Virago 535 (frame model XV535), a classic V-twin cruiser. It is perfectly compatible with the model throughout its entire production run (1987 to 2002) and ideal for resolving charging issues on this famous 535cc V-twin engine. As an essential electrical component of this classic and timeless model, this stator ensures a stable and continuous power supply, thus helping to preserve the charm of this cruiser. 【Important Product Information】 Compatible Model: Yamaha Virago 535 (XV535) Cruiser Motorcycle. Compatibility Years: 1987 to 2002. Note: There may be versions manufactured before 1987 or after 2002. Please contact the manufacturer. Engine type: 535 cc 4-stroke V-twin (SOHC, 70° cylinder angle), air-cooled. Function: This product is the main component of the ignition system (magneto). In the Virago 535 with a battery-powered ignition system, the stator coil generates three-phase alternating current when the engine is running. After voltage rectification and regulation, it performs the following functions: charging the battery (primarily to ensure sufficient energy for the next electric start and lighting); powering all electrical components of the vehicle (headlights, taillights, turn signals, instrument panel, etc.); powering the ignition system (in conjunction with the separate ignition coil in the magneto). Troubleshooting: This product resolves typical problems of the Virago 535 caused by aging, overheating, or insulation faults in the stator coil: the battery remains permanently weak, and the vehicle fails to start after a short period of inactivity. The headlights and all other lights are unusually dim, especially at idle. During the drive, the brightness of the headlights does not improve significantly with increasing engine speed. Eventually, the battery is completely discharged, and the vehicle will no longer start. The charging voltage, measured with a multimeter, is extremely low or undetectable (it should normally be between 13.5 V and 14.8 V).
