Description

Main Features: Botanical Name: Spinacia oleracea Type: Annual leafy vegetable Number of Seeds: 100 Sowing Time: March to May (spring) and August to October (autumn) Maturity: 40 to 60 days depending on the season Location: Full sun to partial shade Hardiness: Cold-resistant, autumn sowing under cover in cold regions possible Description: Spinach is a leafy vegetable valued for its easy cultivation and quick harvest. This variety is suitable for both open ground cultivation and pots or containers on balconies or terraces. Sowing and Cultivation: Sowing: Time: Sow from March to May for a spring harvest or from August to October for an autumn harvest. Depth: Sow seeds 1–2 cm deep in rows spaced 20–25 cm apart. Germination: Germination takes 6 to 12 days depending on soil temperature (ideally 10–18°C). Thinning: When seedlings have 3–4 leaves, thin to 10–15 cm spacing. Cultivation: Soil: Rich in organic matter, fresh, and well-drained. Improve with compost before sowing. Watering: Regular, to keep the soil fresh, especially during dry periods. Lack of water encourages bolting. Care: Lightly hoe to aerate the soil and control weeds. Mulch to retain moisture. Harvest: Time: 40 to 60 days after sowing, depending on the season. Method: Cut the outer leaves as needed or cut the whole plant at the base to allow regrowth. Tips: For an extended harvest, sow successively every 2–3 weeks. In summer, prefer a partially shaded location to prevent premature bolting. Packaging: 100 seeds.
