Installation Steps

1. Remove the top shelf.

If the top shelf, located below the water filter, is in its highest position, it will need to be removed. This can be done in two simple steps: 1. Tilt the front of the shelf upward and lift it up. 2. Remove the shelf. 3. Remove the old water filter. Pull the old water filter down and rotate it counterclockwise to remove it. Be sure to rotate the filter completely downward and remove it from the manifold hole. 4. Install a new water filter. Remove a new water filter from its packaging and remove the protective cap from the O-ring. With the filter tabs in the horizontal position, push the new filter into the manifold hole, rotate it into place, and close the cap. 5. Remove trapped air. After replacing the filter, run 2.5 gallons of water through the system to remove trapped air and contaminants. Press and release the dispenser pad during a 30-second on/off cycle rather than continuous dispensing. If your model has a water filter indicator on the display, press and hold the Filter button. Or press the reset button for approximately 5 seconds to reset the filter indicator.
