This product is an OEM-quality solenoid coil (generator coil) specifically designed for the Yamaha YZF-R1 (model years 2015–2023), a modern, high-performance superbike. It was engineered for the revolutionary 998cc CP4 inline four-cylinder engine with transverse shaft drive and its complex electronic control systems (such as a six-axis inertial measurement unit and variable valve timing). As the true "electrical heart" of this modern 1000cc superbike, this product delivers an extremely stable, clean, and ample current, ensuring optimal operation of all electronic systems and the engine management system, even under extreme conditions. 【Important Product Information】 Compatible Models: Yamaha YZF-R1 (2015–2023 models, including the standard version and derivative models such as the R1M) Compatible Years: 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023 Important Note: R1 models prior to 2015 (e.g., 2009–2014 models) have a different design and are not compatible. Engine and Electronic Controls: 998cc inline four-cylinder engine with CP4 cross-crankshaft, equipped with a 6-axis IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit), variable valve timing (VVA), traction control, wheelie control, launch control, and other advanced electronic controls. Function: This product is the primary power generation component of the magneto ignition system. At maximum engine speeds of up to 14,000 rpm and under high G-forces, the ignition coils must function flawlessly and reliably supply power to the following systems: Central Control Unit: Power supply for the IMU, ECU, electronic throttle servo, quickshifter, and traction control system. High-performance ignition and injection: Power supply for the ignition coils and high-performance injectors. Charging and data acquisition system: Charging the lithium battery and powering the color TFT instrument panel, data logger, and lighting. Symptoms covered: This product addresses typical malfunctions of the Hyundai R1 in track and street use caused by damage to the stator coil under high load: Random alarms or malfunctions of various electronic control systems (e.g., traction control or LIF intervention anomalies), vehicle entering protection mode. Rapid and significant battery discharge after track days or sporty driving. Noticeable power loss at high RPMs, flashing or restarting dashboard lights. Fuel injection malfunction indicator lamp remains illuminated, charging system fault codes displayed by the diagnostic tool. The charging voltage cannot be stabilized above 14V or fluctuates significantly.
