The Makita DJR183RFJ is a cordless reciprocating saw within the 18V LXT platform, designed for controlled cutting in restricted environments. It operates with a 13 mm stroke length and variable speed range from 0 to 3000 strokes per minute, enabling accurate cutting in wood, plastics and light metal profiles. The dual-switch configuration (trigger and paddle) allows flexible handling depending on working position, particularly in overhead or awkward angles. Tool-less blade change and adjustable shoe support operational efficiency on site.
This configuration (RFJ) includes two 3.0Ah batteries, reducing overall weight compared to 5.0Ah kits and improving maneuverability during repetitive or overhead tasks. Within the LXT range, it complements higher performance models such as DJR186 and DJR187, focusing on accessibility rather than cutting aggression. Integrated LED lighting improves visibility in low-light conditions, while the electronic battery protection system prevents overload and deep discharge.
