The Makita DJR183RMJ is a cordless reciprocating saw within the 18V LXT platform, configured for light-duty cutting tasks where access and control are critical. It operates with a 13 mm stroke length and variable speed from 0 to 3000 strokes per minute, enabling accurate cutting in wood, plastics and light metal sections. The dual-switch system (trigger and paddle) allows operation from multiple grip positions, improving usability in overhead or confined applications. Tool-less blade change and adjustable shoe streamline workflow on site.
This RMJ configuration includes two 4.0Ah batteries, offering a balance between runtime and handling compared to 3.0Ah and 5.0Ah variants. It is positioned within the LXT range as a compact alternative to higher stroke models such as DJR186 and DJR187, prioritizing maneuverability over cutting capacity. Integrated LED lighting supports visibility in low-light environments, while the electronic battery protection system safeguards against overload, overheating and deep discharge.
