Compact cordless pruning saw for arborists, orchard maintenance, landscaping and professional grounds care The Makita UC029GZ01 is a professional 40Vmax XGT pruning saw developed for precision branch cutting, orchard maintenance and landscaping applications. Powered by a Brushless motor, the saw delivers a maximum chain speed of 8.0 m/s through a compact 150 mm guide bar, providing excellent control when working in confined areas, dense canopies and elevated pruning positions. The lightweight design allows efficient handling during repetitive cutting tasks while maintaining the cutting performance expected from the XGT platform. The tool features automatic chain lubrication to reduce wear and maintain consistent cutting performance throughout the working day. eXtreme Protection Technology (XPT) enhances resistance against dust and moisture in outdoor environments, while the electric brake rapidly stops chain movement for improved operator safety. The tool-free chain adjustment system allows quick chain tension corrections without additional tools, helping reduce downtime during pruning operations. The GZ01 version is supplied as a body-only machine without battery or charger.
