Description
General description The MAX7219 Dot Matrix MCU LED 4 in 1 4 x 64 Display Module is an integrated serial I/O common cathode display driver designed to connect with microprocessors, enabling the control of an 8-digit, 7-segment digital LED display, a bar graph display, or 64 independent LEDs. It features a low power shutdown mode and supports cascading multiple modules for expanded display capabilities. Technical specifications Working voltage: 5V Module size: length 12.8 cm x width 3.2 cm x height 1.3 cm Mounting screw holes: 64 holes with a diameter of 3 mm Power consumption: 150 µA in low power shutdown mode Installation Connect the left side of the module to the input port of the CPU. For cascading multiple modules, connect the output terminal of one module to the input terminal of the next module. Example connections for microcontroller 51: CCV→5V, GND→GND, DIN→P2.2, CS→P2.1, CLK→P2.0. Usage Control a single module using only the input port connected to the CPU. Address each data during updates without overwriting all displays. Adjust segment current for each LED using the external register.
