The shower bar is an accessory that enhances the practicality of the bathroom. It allows you to hang the showerhead and makes this space significantly more comfortable. Some models also accommodate the hose.
The shower bar is a wall-mounted accessory:
- allowing to hang the showerhead with the help of an adjustable slider that must be compatible with the shape of the connection (conical or straight);
- of a height that can vary between 60 and 90 cm;
- made of steel or stainless steel (resistant to rust and aging), with a brushed or chrome finish;
- used to install the showerhead 15 cm or more above the tallest future user.
The element is composed of three distinct parts:
- the adjustable holder, intended to receive the showerhead;
- the bar itself;
- the mounting bases, installed on the walls using plugs. They can be fixed (do not allow for adjustment of the spacing during installation) or mobile, also known as special renovation bars (the spacing between the two bases can be adjusted to cover existing holes or imperfections on the support).
The slider (or showerhead holder):
- serves to lock the element at the height desired by the user;
- can be with a handle or a knob;
- allows to accommodate a showerhead with a conical or straight connection;
- must be compatible with the dimensions of the bar.
Depending on the model, the shower bar can also accommodate various accessories such as:
- a soap dish, typically a small shelf fixed on the bar;
- bottle holders;
- clamps designed to hold the hose along the wall element.
For small budgets, there are also combos that can be simply connected to the bathroom's tap and fixed on the slider. This type of accessory:
- is easy to install;
- proves to be practical and efficient daily, especially for sprinkling and rinsing;
- facilitates the different movements of the user once in the shower;
- proves to be particularly economical.
The shower bar is a wall element intended to accommodate the showerhead and thus improve the level of comfort in the bathroom. It should be chosen based on the equipment present in the room and the size of the future users. When purchasing, it is better to favor models made of stainless steel or steel due to their remarkable lifespan.
