The Milwaukee M18 FID3-522P is an 18V M18 FUEL 1/4' hex impact driver engineered for professional fastening applications requiring high torque output and compact dimensions. The POWERSTATE brushless motor delivers up to 226 Nm of maximum torque, supporting structural screws, coach screws and high-load fastening tasks :contentReference{index=0}.
The tool provides no-load speeds of 1,750 / 3,000 / 3,900 rpm and impact rates of 1,400 / 3,600 / 4,400 ipm, enabling application-specific adjustment through the 4-Mode DRIVE CONTROL system :contentReference{index=1}. Mode 1 supports precision work, Mode 2 helps prevent damage to fasteners and material, Mode 3 delivers maximum performance, and Mode 4 automatically adjusts speed, impacts and torque for balanced control. Individual battery cell monitoring enhances runtime and pack durability within the M18 platform.

His brief was to develop an electric drill that would be lighter than those already in existence. Petersen took up the challenge and created the Hole-Shooter, capable of the same performance but requiring less effort from the workers. In 1922, he founded the A.H. Petersen Company with his partner, Siebert, who bought the company when it went bankrupt in a fire.
