Description
1) Reliable circuit protection, without residual current function (without earth leakage)This miniature circuit breaker (MCB) is designed to provide protection against overloads and short circuits in low-voltage installations. It quickly cuts off the power supply in the event of a current fault, limiting conductor heating, the risk of damage to appliances and the likelihood of an electrical incident. Important: this model is non-residual current (it does not detect leakage currents and does not replace a 30 mA RCD/RCCB/DDR intended for personal protection). It is therefore perfectly suited to a conventional consumer unit strategy: a residual current device upstream for personal protection, and MCBs downstream for outgoing circuit protection.2) 3 poles (3P): simultaneous disconnection of the three live conductors, ideal for three-phaseWith its 3P configuration, the device ensures synchronised disconnection of three lines, a sought-after solution for many three-phase uses (motors, pumps, ventilation, small machines) or for circuits requiring overall isolation during maintenance. This grouped disconnection improves the readability of the installation and reduces the risk of error during work: a single action allows the entire relevant outgoing circuit to be de-energised. It is a common choice for domestic consumer units, commercial cabinets, technical enclosures and small workshops.3) 32 A rating: suitable for more heavily loaded outgoing circuits, to be sized according to cable and useThe 32 A rated current allows circuits supplying substantial loads to be equipped (depending on conductor cross-section, installation method, ambient temperature and load factor). For effective protection, the rating should not be chosen simply as the largest: a circuit breaker with too high a rating may delay tripping under overload and allow cables to heat up. It is recommended to check the consistency between power demand, cable cross-section, installation conditions and any prolonged operation under heavy load. This 32 A rating is a very common standard for outgoing circuits dedicated to certain equipment or to sub-assemblies within a cabinet.4) C tripping curve: a good compromise for standard loads with inrush currentThe C curve is particularly valued for its versatility: it tolerates start-up inrush currents better than the B curve, while still maintaining responsive protection in the event of a clear fault. It is suitable for many common loads, particularly those including inductive elements or motors (fans, small pumps, compressors, tools, etc.), limiting nuisance tripping without sacrificing safety. For very sensitive circuits or, conversely, loads with high inrush, the choice of curve should remain consistent with the installation study.5) Network compatibility and compliance: AC 230-400 V, 50/60 Hz, EN 60898-1, breaking capacity 6 kADesigned for AC 230 to 400 V networks and a frequency of 50/60 Hz, this circuit breaker fits into the majority of low-voltage environments encountered in Europe (single-phase/three-phase depending on the installation layout). It is stated to comply with EN 60898-1, the reference standard for circuit breakers intended for domestic and similar installations. Its 6 kA breaking capacity corresponds to a level commonly required for many residential consumer units and light commercial applications. Where there is a supply point close to a transformer or a high prospective short-circuit power, it remains advisable to check the available short-circuit level and adapt the breaking capacity if necessary.
