Determine the installation location for your cat flap. The height of the cat flap should be used to determine the approximate floor height for your pet. Using a ruler and pencil, make precise cuts along the protective film. Use the marks to identify the location of the four screw holes for the cat flap, cat door, and entry/exit door. Punch holes in four places using a hole punch. Then use a power saw to cut along the holes until the holes go completely through the cat flap, cat door, or entry/exit door. Before installing the cat flap, mark the exact location of the four screw holes for the cat door. Once the marks are in place, install the cat flap, entry/exit door, or cat door.
