Here are some reasons why the new carburetor is leaking:

1. Fuel leaks after installing a new carburetor are usually caused by old residue from the fuel tank getting into the fuel tap. A conical float in the carburetor and preventing it from closing/sealing properly.

2. The second possibility is connecting the fuel line to the wrong port on the carburetor.

3. The third possibility is also a valve fault. The float (which is filled with air) may have a small hole in it from the factory and has sucked in gas. Also, the gasket on the cone could be poorly formed and not watertight.

4. The fourth possibility is It could be due to the angle of the carburetor on the engine. Therefore, you will need to adjust the float level.

5. The most common problem related to the float is that the float level is set too high at the factory, which can cause interference on uneven surfaces or when stopping.
