1. Check that the positive and negative springs are in the slots on the battery case. Place the battery in the battery compartment with the positive side of the battery facing up. Then screw the battery case clockwise into the lamp head. Tighten it a little clockwise to turn on the light. Tighten it a little counterclockwise to turn off the light.

2. Remove the grounding plug from the lamp post, reverse the installation, and ensure the grounding plug prong is facing outwards.

3. Insert the other end of the installed light post into the battery compartment and the lamp head. After installing the entire lamp body, place the grounding plug in a sunny spot.
