I have mixed feelings about this table. It will scratch very easily as we have found out after just one use and I am not sure it will be very heat resistant as it is made from laminated wood I think it will "blume" if something hot is put on it. So be very carefull, use heat mats. Having said all that it does fit in with my new kitchen
