The potbox is the accelerator of an electric vehicle. It tells the controller how much current is needed to send to the motor. The potbox lever arm is attached to the existing throttle cable. The box translates foot pressure into a variable resistance to tell the speed controller which speed you want to go.Additionally, there is a safety switch inside that helps prevent the electric vehicle from starting with the gas pedal to the floor.
