The personal alarm is designed to help you call for help or disorient an attacker when you are in trouble and can look around for assistance. 125dB can certainly make a loud sound to attract someone's attention. Magnetize the alarm to the metal door handle (use with the attached transmission wire for non-magnetic handles), then turn the alarm switch to AUTO and wait 10 seconds. If someone touches the door handle, the indicator light will flash and the alarm will sound.
