The tire changer duckheads prevent damaged wheels from being scratched when locking the wheel with the internal clamps. The use of plastic mounting heads is safer for delicate and expensive wheels and durable enough to withstand tire stress and larger wheels.
Two sizes are available: 28 mm/1.1" and 30 mm/1.2".
