Description

General description

The 'Platform' potato planter is an innovative design that allows for the layering of potatoes in a unique and manageable way. This compact planter provides a quick setup for growing and harvesting potatoes while maximizing garden space by stacking in tiers. Made from three collars and one base plate, the planter extends upwards as the potato plants grow, mimicking the natural layering process.

  • Base diameter: 40 cm
  • Height of 1 tier planter: 25 cm
  • Height of 2 tier planter: 45 cm
  • Height of 3 tier planter: 65 cm
  • Capacity: Holds approximately 60 litres of compost

    • Installation

  • Easy to assemble with a base plate and three collars.
  • Plant the first collar with the base plate attached, providing 4 inches of soil for seed potatoes.
  • Attach the next collar as the potatoes grow, adding another 4 inches of soil.

    • Usage

  • Watering ring at the top of each collar ensures moisture reaches the bottom of the planter.
  • Provides maximum light during early growth stages without fabric bags obstructing the shoots.
  • Collars can be removed one at a time for easy harvesting.
