Description

General description

Smartseal Porcelain Sealer is a hard-wearing, breathable protective coating designed for modern internal and external porcelain tiles, as well as ceramic wall and floor tiles. This sealer helps prevent general soiling and surface staining while enhancing the natural colors of the tiles. Although not a cosmetic product, it leaves a subtle wet look sheen once dry, making cleaning and maintenance significantly easier.

Average coverage: 10 - 20 m² per litre, depending on surface texture and porosity

Application temperature range: 10° to 23°C

Installation

Always apply to a test area or spare tile first.

Only apply to completely dry and clean surfaces.

If a sweep-in pointing compound has been used within the last 6 months, clean the porcelain with Smartseal Residue Remover before application.

Apply a single thin, consistent coat using a microfibre cloth, microfibre flat mop, or paint pad.

Avoid application marks and excess pooling of sealer.

Allow a minimum of 2 hours drying time before walking on the surface.

The sealer will be fully cured and attain full water-resistance after 24 hours.

If using externally, do not apply if rain is forecast within 8 hours.

Usage

This ultra-durable sealer is suitable for use on porcelain and ceramic tiles, both externally on patios and internally on walls and floors. It is strictly a single-coat application due to its high active micro coating that bonds strongly to the impervious porcelain. Applying more than one coat may lead to application issues and product failure.

Other information

Store in cool, dry conditions out of direct sunlight in the original container only.

Use within 6 months of purchase and within 3 months once opened.
