Description

Description:

An insert nut provides a threaded socket for a wooden piece, similar to a wall anchor. These insert nuts are inserted by screwing them into a pre-drilled hole; in this case, the outside protrusions are in the wood to prevent the nut from spinning or coming loose.
Features:
These insert nuts are made from high-carbon steel, heavily zinc-plated for durability and rust protection.
The screw-in nuts have a male drive and a hex socket drive and are screwed in with a hex key.
Insert nuts are advantageous compared to cylindrical nuts and T-nuts because they can be installed from one side of the piece.
There are different sizes of inward-facing insert nuts, and they use different screw sizes to choose from for your project.
The pilot hole must be as deep as the length of the insert nut plus any portion of the dowel that may extend beyond the end of the nut into the workpiece.
