Description

General description

This automotive wire tracer and short circuit finder tool is designed to identify and trace wires or cables without damaging the insulation. It detects and alerts you immediately when a circuit is open, allowing you to quickly locate short circuits, open connections, broken wires, and current leaks. The tool includes a transmitter and a receiver, with LEDs on both units indicating open or short circuit conditions. The built-in buzzer also signals under these conditions, making troubleshooting easier and faster.

Technical specifications

  • Operating Voltage: 6 to 42 volts DC
  • Receiver Dimensions: 38.5 x 4 x 2.3 cm (H x W x D, approximate)
  • Sender Dimensions: 6.5 x 5.6 x 2.1 cm (H x W x D, approximate)
  • Probe Length: 7-inch flexible probe
  • Power: 2 x 9V battery (6F22)
  • Red and black test leads cable length: 61 cm (approximate)

    • Installation

  • Install 9V 6F22 batteries in both the Receiver and Transmitter.

    • Usage

  • Use the probe to check for short circuits, locate open circuits, trace wires, and identify wires.
  • The receiver probe is constructed of coiled steel and can be bent to reach wires in congested areas.
  • For optimal performance, position the probe tip perpendicular to the wire being traced.

    • Other information

  • Includes: Inner-Carrying Case, Outer-Carton, 1 x Automotive Short and Open Finder Sender, 1 x Automotive Short and Open Finder Receiver, Carrying bag.
  • Check out our operation video for more details.
