Internal Thread Instructions
- Drill a core hole of the correct size (see core hole dimensions).
- Clamp tap in tap wrench and lubricate with cutting fluid
- Turn the tap clockwise under light pressure.
- Turn back each half turn to break the chip

External Thread Instructions
- Measure bolt diameter to determine thread size
- Chamfer the stud with a file to a conical shape
- Insert die into holder and tighten screw
- Place straight on the stud and lubricate with cutting fluid
- Turn the stud with light pressure
- Turn back occasionally to break chips
- Turn until desired thread length is achieved
