Product information
Description
1. Working Environment 1. Ambient temperature: 5 to 40 degrees Celsius 2. Relative humidity: ≤ 85% 2. Use, Maintenance, and Precautions 1. Remove the protective cover from the electrode before testing (the solution inside the cover is 3MKCl. Crystal formation is normal and does not affect the use of the electrode). 2. Check that the inside of the sensing bulb is completely filled with liquid. If you detect bubbles, gently shake the electrode (like a thermometer) to remove them; otherwise, this will affect the accuracy of the test. Calibration and Testing of the Electrode and pH Meter 1. Connect the pH electrode to the input terminal of the pH instrument and ensure the connection is correct. 2. Perform the calibration according to the instrument's instruction manual, and the calibration result should be measured. Third, Storage and Maintenance of the Liquid-Filled Composite pH Electrode 1. The electrode uses an electrical gap. Please clean it with distilled water and place it in a protective vial. It will be activated by injecting the solution before the next test. 2. If the electrode is not used for an extended period, rinse it and allow any remaining distilled water to be absorbed. 3. The sensitive glass bulb at the front of the electrode must not come into contact with hard objects; any damage or scratching will render the electrode unusable. 4. After prolonged use of the electrode, the slope and response rate may decrease. The measuring tip of the electrode can be immersed in 4% HF for 3 to 5 seconds or in a dilute HCl solution for 1 to 2 minutes, then cleaned with chlorinated distilled water. Soak it in a 4M potassium solution to regenerate it. 5. If the container being tested contains a substance that could contaminate the sensing bubble or block the liquid junction, thus passivating the electrode, the response speed will be significantly slowed, the slope reduced, or the measurement unstable. Therefore, the choice of probe must be made according to the nature of the contaminant. Clean with a suitable solution to refresh the probe.
