Here are some reasons why the new carburetor might be leaking:

1. Fuel leaks after installing a new carburetor are usually caused by old debris from the gas tank getting into the conical float valve inside the carburetor and preventing it from closing/sealing properly.

2. The second possibility is connecting the fuel line to the wrong port on the carburetor.

3. The third possibility is a defect in the float valve. The float (which is filled with air) inside the carburetor might have a small hole from the factory and has taken on gasoline. Also, the gasket on the cone might be malformed and not sealing properly.

4. The fourth One possibility could be the carburetor angle on the engine. Therefore, you will need to adjust the float level. 5. The most common problem related to the float is that the float level is set too high at the factory; this can cause instability on rough terrain or when stopped.
