Turn the speed control to OFF. Unplug the stand mixer or disconnect the power supply.

Tilt the motor head backward. Slide the beater onto the beater shaft and press upward as far as possible. Rotate the beater to the right and hook it onto the shaft spindle. Plug into a grounded, 2-prong outlet.
