Draining the water or replacing the elements is determined by the level of fuel contamination. Inspect the water collection bowl daily and service as needed. Replace the elements at least once a year or when a decrease in power is noticed.
To Drain the Water
1. Loosen the self-purging drain plug to drain the water from the bowl into a container.
2. Tighten the drain.
3. Use a priming bulb to fill the fuel filter.
4. Start the engine and check for leaks.
