With this valve, you don't have to work with plugs when replacing the filter cartridge or lifting the pump, so that water does not constantly flow out when the filtration system is unscrewed. Important note: The maintenance/shut-off valve does not replace the sealing plugs if you have not connected a filtration system to the pool. Once closed, small amounts of dripping may seep through the hose connection, which is not a problem during pool maintenance or upkeep.
