The wool acts like a sponge, gently allowing fuel vapors to escape for ignition. IDEAL FOR: Almost all tabletop fire pits, tabletop fire bowls, and alcohol fireplaces. HEAT RESISTANCE: The ceramic fiber insulation blanket can withstand temperatures up to 1600°C for long-lasting, high-temperature use. IDEAL THICKNESS: Replacement wool wicks available on the market are usually too thick for smaller fire pits. This one, tested by us, fits most alcohol fire pits. DIY DIMENSIONS: 5 pieces measuring 30.5 x 20.3 x 6.3 mm. Using a utility knife, cut the ceramic wool to the shape of the original cotton core and insert it into the combustion chamber of the bioethanol fireplace. REPLACEMENT FREQUENCY: Use the wool sponge felt until it blackens and becomes dirty. Replace the sponge when the burn time decreases, or as needed. DURABLE: Simply cut a piece to the desired size and keep the rest for later use.
