Product information
Description
This product is a magneto-stator coil (generator coil) specifically designed for Yamaha 450cc four-wheel-drive ATVs. It is compatible with the Grizzly 450 (YFM450F) and the Kodiak 450, covering the main production period from 2011 to 2016. As a central component of the charging system, it provides a stable and reliable power supply to the electronic fuel injection (EFI), the four-wheel-drive module, and various outdoor accessories. It is essential for resolving charging issues and ensuring reliability during off-road use and recreational riding. 【Important Product Information】 Compatible Models: Yamaha Grizzly 450 (YFM450F), Yamaha Kodiak 450 Compatible Years: 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016 Note: 2017 and later models may have received parts updates. Please check your vehicle's year of manufacture before purchasing. Engine Type: 421cc SOHC four-stroke single-cylinder engine with electronic fuel injection (EFI). Function: This product is the primary power-generating component of the magneto ignition. It is designed for the high loads and continuous low-speed operation common in ATVs and provides a stable and sufficient three-phase power supply for the following systems: Electronic Fuel Injection and Control System: Supplies the engine control unit (ECU), fuel injectors, various sensors, and the electronic control unit for four-wheel drive/differential locking with precise operating voltage. Charging and Auxiliary System: Charges the battery and powers headlights, instruments, and optional high-power accessories such as electric winches and auxiliary lights. Problem Symptoms Addressed: This product addresses common YFM450F platform problems caused by stator coil failure: unusually rapid battery drain, frequent electric starting problems, weak or faulty electric winch, severely dim headlights, faulty instrument readings, possible illumination of the EFI fault indicator, unstable power supply, or even engine stalling under load (e.g., when towing a trailer or using a winch). The charging voltage was consistently too low (it should be between 13.5 V and 14.8 V).
