This product is specifically designed for Husqvarna 450 and 445 chainsaws. It conforms to the original factory specifications for this series. Brake plate and side cover (brake side cover). This component integrates the brake plate/brake belt into the main element of the chainsaw's emergency braking system (chain guard). The side cover protects the internal components and forms a single unit. In the event of kickback or emergency braking, a simple press on the front hand guard is sufficient to trigger a mechanism that instantly engages the clutch drum via the internal brake disc. This stops the saw chain within milliseconds. This is an essential active safety device. Replacing the original side cover with one that is deformed, worn, damaged, or defective due to prolonged use, frequent actuation, impacts, or aging can restore the functionality of important safety devices and the external structural integrity of the chainsaw.
