Description
This product was specifically designed for Husqvarna HUS137 and 142 chainsaws. It conforms to the original factory specifications for this series of starters for household chainsaws. The starter spring (also called the recoil spring) is the primary energy storage element of a recoil-start system and is located inside the starter. When the starter rope is pulled, the spring is compressed and stores energy; when released, it releases this energy. The rope is then automatically, quickly, and evenly wound onto the drum. Replacing old, broken, or fatigue-deformed springs is necessary to correct problems such as a starter rope that does not return to its starting position, retracts weakly, jams, or is stiff. This is the most economical and effective maintenance solution.
