The brake plate (brake lever/safety brake unit) is an essential component of the chainsaw's safety system and is connected to the front hand guard. In the event of kickback or emergency braking, simply pushing the hand guard forward activates the braking mechanism, instantly engaging the brake band with the clutch drum. This stops the saw chain within milliseconds, significantly reducing the risk of injury. Replacing worn, deformed, broken, or spring-damaged original brake pads due to prolonged use, frequent braking, or external influences is necessary to restore the chainsaw's active safety functions and ensure operator safety.
