Heating and Cooling: The thermostat socket can be set to the start and stop temperatures to control the heating/cooling mode, and it controls the heating or cooling function to operate according to the setting. Start temperature > stop temperature, cooling operation begins; start temperature < Once the set temperature is reached, the heating operation begins.
Other Functions: The temperature controller has other functions: backlit LCD display; temperature calibration; factory reset; Data storage (which can save all current settings after power-off).
