Hold the hardness tester at least 12 mm from the smooth edge of the sample and apply vertical pressure until the needle makes contact with the sample. Maintain pressure for less than one second to obtain the reading. Use It is recommended to measure the hardness at several positions on the sample (at least 5 times) to obtain an average value. For microporous materials, measure at a distance of at least 15 mm. To improve accuracy, perform tests under stable and identical conditions.
