1. The ULN2803A device is a 50V, 500mA Darlington transistor array.
2. The device consists of eight NPN Darlington pairs, which have a high-voltage output and a common cathode clamping diode for switching inductive loads. 3. The collector current rating of each Darlington pair is 500mA. The Darlington pairs can be connected in parallel to increase current capacity. 4. Applications include relay drivers, hammer drivers, lamp drivers, display drivers (LED and gas discharge), line drivers, and logic buffers. 5. Each Darlington pair of ULN2803A devices has a series base resistance of 2.7 kΩ and can operate directly with 5 V TTL or CMOS devices.
