Main uses: **Daily preventative maintenance:** Cleaning debris from the skimmer filter basket during daily or weekly pool inspections is essential for maintaining clear water. Intensive seasonal cleaning: In spring and autumn, during periods of heavy leaf fall, this large-capacity filter basket retains more debris, thus preventing frequent blockages and ensuring proper system operation. After a storm or high winds: quickly inspect and remove any fallen leaves and broken branches from the pool to prevent overloading the system. Equipment protection: before cleaning the pool floor or using a robotic cleaner, ensure the filter basket is empty to optimize pump suction and protect the suction unit's filter bag. Replacement and upgrade: replace the original filter basket with this larger capacity universal model when the mesh is cracked, the handle is broken, or the capacity is insufficient due to prolonged use. Installation and maintenance tips: Checking compatibility: before purchasing, always check the brand and interface size of your pool skimmer to ensure it is a 2-inch Hayward model. Proper installation: fully insert the filter basket into the skimmer compartment, ensuring its bottom is properly seated and its The sides should not rub against the compartment walls. Regular inspection: It is recommended to clean the filter at least once a week; during periods of heavy plant growth, daily inspection may be necessary. Regular cleaning ensures optimal water flow. Thorough rinsing: After emptying the filter, rinse it carefully from the inside out using a garden hose to remove all traces of fine particles and grease. Regular replacement: Even if there is no visible damage, it is recommended to check the filter's integrity every 2 to 3 swimming seasons. In case of significant discoloration, fragility, or deformation of the mesh, replacement is advised to guarantee filtration efficiency and safety.
