Rotary tools are versatile, and this accessory provides even more functionality. Removing the broken shaft: First, remove the original handle from the broken shaft. It is held in place by a spring-loaded metal ball. Unscrew the shaft connector clockwise (note the reverse thread). Pull the metal shaft housing down to expose the steel core. Use an L-shaped wrench to unscrew the core from the grinder. Installing the replacement shaft: Remove the steel core. Use the provided L-shaped wrench to secure the inner core to the grinder. Screw the shaft connector back onto the grinder. Slide the end of the inner core into the groove inside the handle. Push the handle back onto the shaft.
