The Union 2648 mortice latch is designed for timber doors hinged on either side and operated with a lever handle. Made of nylon, it provides quieter closing action. Suitable for handles with a backset of 44.5mm or 57mm, depending on the case size. The latch is finished in silver enamel and is not compatible with unsprung lever handles.
