Description
This round-to-flat connector for portable air conditioner exhaust ducts is an essential accessory for venting heat from home and car air conditioners. Made of high-strength HDPE material, it boasts excellent toughness, resisting deformation, high temperatures, and cracking from repeated bending, ensuring a long service life for year-round use. Its lightweight design, at only 200g, facilitates installation without adding excessive load to the air duct. It is designed to fit two standard exhaust duct sizes: 130mm and 150mm in diameter, with two distinct connection methods. The 130mm duct is inserted from the inside of the connector, while the 150mm hose slides in from the outside of the cylindrical section, providing a stable and airtight connection without hot air leaks. The cylindrical part of the connector measures 135 mm wide and 230 mm in total height, perfectly calibrated for the spiral ducts of standard portable air conditioners. The flat part of the connector has a wide opening of 26 cm and a height of 2.5 cm (257 mm × 20 mm), a slim shape adapted to the narrow gaps in domestic and automotive windows. Unlike thick, round connectors that prevent the window from being completely closed, this flat profile occupies very little space in the window opening, limiting the entry of hot outside air and optimizing the air conditioner's cooling efficiency. This multi-purpose connector is suitable for two main heat exhaust scenarios. Firstly, it is used with portable air conditioners for window exhaust, by combining an exhaust hose with this flat connector designed for window openings. On the other hand, it can be used for car air conditioners, by passing the thin section between the window and the door frame without damaging the car's weatherstripping. Its small fixing holes on the flat part allow it to be held securely in place if necessary. Easy to handle and airtight, this connector transforms the circular outlet of the exhaust hose into a thin, flat opening, solving the major problem of portable air conditioners: the inability to close the window completely.
