1. Material: The rolling pins are all made of sapele wood, with a special surface treatment to prevent excessive moisture penetration. They are perfectly safe to use. 2. Cleaning and Care: The smooth surface prevents dough from sticking to the rolling pin. The two tapered ends make cleaning easy. Simply rinse with water or wipe with a damp cloth, then dry. The rolling pin has been coated with mineral oil before packaging; however, we recommend applying a fresh coat of mineral or olive oil once or twice a month to enhance the wood grain. 3. For a Better Experience: The surface is hand-polished three times. Even with natural knots present, no roughness is perceptible to the touch. A simply polished rolling pin retains some wood fibers. To avoid this, we apply mineral oil after each polishing and then allow it to dry. This mineral oil is perfectly safe for food contact. 4.
