Multifunctional Cable Tracer: This cable tracer uses audio signals to locate RJ45 cables, telephone lines, BNC cables, and other cables. It adopts a new digital mode with strong anti-interference capabilities. The digital cable tracer is more accurate and efficient but must be used with a camera tester. Fast and Easy: During security maintenance and network engineering projects, this cable tracer helps technicians locate the end of a cable in the middle of a tangle. It quickly measures up to 1,000 meters of power, BNC, and network cables. It confirms cable location, checks continuity, and detects faults (open circuits, short circuits, and reversed pairs). Instructions and NCV Mode: 1. Use two 1.5V AA batteries (not included). 2. Press and hold the "Mode/Power" button to turn on the cable tracer. 3. Use the center button to adjust the cable tracer's sensitivity. After connecting the tester's "UTP/SCAN" port to the cable detector's "UTP" port, 1 to 8 LEDs will indicate the connection and cable sequencing. The NCV mode is suitable for AC voltage; simply bring the pen tip close to a terminal block, socket, or power cord. A beep will indicate the voltage.
Supported Tester Models: All tester series can locate RJ45 cables (except the 3500, 4300, and IPC-X series). Only the 9800, 5000, X7, and X9 series are compatible for locating BNC, RVV, and telephone cables. Alligator clips must be attached to the copper conductor or copper braid.
