Description
- The ballast for HID headlights, also called the headlight control unit, is an integral part of the HID lighting system. It supplies the voltage required for the lamp to operate and regulates the current flow when the lamp is switched on. If the ballast fails, the lamp will burn out.
A ballast failure leads to the complete failure of the headlight. Causes of ballast failure include: 1. Insufficient power supply; 2. Missing ground connection; 3. Defective electronic components in the device; 4. Internal Short Circuit
