Threading and tapping is an operation upon which a series of mechanical assembly processes rely. Threads and taps are indeed essential for the assembly and fixing of a large number of mechanical parts. Threading and tapping equipment allows for the cutting of helical threads into a drilled hole for the passage of screws.
This operation nevertheless requires robust and resistant equipment in order to guarantee impeccable work quality. High-quality threading and tapping, designed with solid metal, offers optimal performance for all screw thread machining operations. It is also possible to create screw threads of different dimensions and in various shapes. You can produce threads with a metric profile (M), a round profile (Rd), a gas profile (G), and a (Tr) profile. The use of taps for creating screw threads necessitates a tap wrench with one or several holes. This tool is used to hold the tap to turn it during the tapping process. Often, a set of taps consists of 3 taps: the taper tap, the plug tap, and the bottoming tap. They are used respectively to start the tapping in the drilled hole, to perfect the hole and threads, and to finish the operation.
