ASTRALPOOL

ASTRALPOOL is a brand of Astral, which was founded in 1969 by four Catalan Spanish families under the name Astral S.A. de Construcciones Metálicas. From the outset, the company was based in Barcelona. It began by manufacturing a wide range of tools: stainless steel filters, ladders and then skimmers, in which it later specialised. In 1974, the company went international, opening a subsidiary in France, followed by Italy in 1979 and the UK in 1984. Faced with growing demand (its turnover already exceeded 100 million euros) it created the ASTRALPOOL brand in 1990. Two years later, it was the consecration: it was one of the official suppliers to the Barcelona Olympic Games, which opened the doors to the United States, Germany and the United Arab Emirates. It repeated this feat by supplying the Olympic Games in Atlanta in 1996 and Barcelona in 2003. It is thanks to constant innovation that ASTRALPOOL has been able to achieve so much success: for example, ASTRA was the first company to install the first 100% ozone water treatment system in Spain. In 2004 it was awarded the prize for the most innovative Spanish company, presented by the Prince of Asturias himself, for all its innovations in heat pumps, skimmers, pumps and filters for swimming pools.
